As my eyesight gets worse with age, I was looking for a durable, waterproof, easy-to-read watch with a simple timer that looked great on my wrist. I own both a Fitbit and Apple watch – I was getting tired of being tracked all the time and getting notifications about everything (which yes, I know can be adjusted). I’ve owned Casio watches before and still have a G-Shock digital that’s been running great for almost 20 years, so after reading many reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere, it was an easy decision to make.
Amazing watch at this price point!
This isn’t just a great watch for the price, it’s a great watch, period. Very attractive, sturdy with some weight to it, actual stainless steel, perfect alignment on everything… bezel and second hand, very legible despite having thinner hands, comfortable, doesn’t wear too big for a 43mm. Did I mention attractive? I got the black dial with the blueish-green bezel. I have A LOT of watches, and most are way more expensive than this Casio Duro, but it’s gonna be getting a lot of wrist time going forward. Only thing I can find to criticize is the lume doesn’t last very long. VERY happy with this purchase!
Casio makes the best watch in its price range and goes above and beyond in quality
I love watches and have many of them, some very fine and expensive. I wanted something sporty but nice looking I could wear on vacation and not be to worried if it gets lost or stolen. Well, this not only fits the bill but I find myself wearing it often at home day to day. The photos do not do justice to how beautiful it looks, plenty of finishing details. For its price point Casio is hands down the best, honestly would have been pleased with the same watch at twice the cost. Only drawback is the 44mm is huge, I have 7 inch wrists and it wears ok but if you have smaller it might not be the best fit. It would be nice to have an automatic movement and sapphire crystal but no way you’re finding that at this price point- orient kamasu is the best budget option if you want these features. Overall love this watch and it’s so much bang for your buck. Screw down crown and 200m water resist? You see so many desk divers for far more than this that don’t actually play the part.

I received this watch on 1-20-2018. I received my first Casio watch on Christmas morning somewhere around 1979. That watch, a simple, black plastic digital one, kept working for about 15 years, on the same battery. This wasn't any great feat in my mind at the time. It was just all I really knew, except for the time when I got an Armitron calculator watch at some point. Not only did the Armitron not last, it also felt like it wouldn't last. The buttons were flimsy, the edges rough, and it had an overall plasticky feel, even though it was gold. My old Casio shined by comparison. My dad got himself the same one as me that Christmas, except in stainless, and anytime it came up in later years, he'd laugh and say something like "David, I think I wore that watch for thirty years and I only replaced the battery once." So that is what Casio is in my mind.
